It's hard to explain...I am probably part time of physical making but my brain is constantly on, whether it's brainstorming, planning, sketching out idea, across social media.
Do small business owners ever actually switch off. I find my best ideas come when you least expect it - like on a family outing or at school drop off, so my travelers notebook is never far away from grasp.
When you really like what you are doing there will be times when it doesn't feel like work at all. However, I need to remind myself of deadlines <this is the hardest bit of my business>. I can play around all day but need to knuckle down and get orders out, social posts posted, designs designed.
It's the playing around part where I try new styles and designs. By far my favourite thing to do.
