Every so often, when the workshop is still and the smell of leather lingers in the air, I think about all the pieces that have made their way into the world.
I imagine them out there. Wrapped in brown paper once, then carefully opened; now finding their rhythm in homes, studios, and workspaces.
Each piece begins here. A hide of full-grain Australian leather, a few careful cuts and stitches, a press of the Rustic Wren brand. And then, it journeys on.
I suppose I like to think of them as little friends gone travelling.
I often wonder where yours has found itself
Was it a gift to yourself, a quiet reward or something you'd been longing for?
Or perhaps it was given to someone special, and you had the joy of watching them unwrap it?
Were there smiles, or happy tears, or that quiet moment when they realised it would be something they'd keep for years?
And now, some time has passed...
Has it softened with use?
Does it travel with you, or wait on the desk for when you need a moment to think?
Has it gathered scuffs, marks, and memories that tell a little more of its story?
I'd love to see how it's settling into life
