About this notebook
Open it. You're already working.

You have tried the pretty ones, the cheap ones, the ones that looked right in the shop. You kept coming back to the leather one. At some point you stopped pretending you needed to think about it.

The Scribe is a trifold cover. Back panel wraps over the front. One elastic holds it. Pick it up with one hand, open it, and you are already working -- no buckle, no strap to wind, nothing between the thought and the page.

In A6 it disappears into a jacket pocket. In A5 it fits in every bag and reappears at every meeting. In A4 it owns the desk. Most people who carry it everywhere choose A5 -- and then carry it to places they didn't expect to.

The leather will mark and soften over months. It will become entirely yours in the way that only things you use every day can become yours. The cover lasts for life.

Initials pressed into the outside wrap flap using a traditional hot embossing machine -- a method unchanged since the 1880s. Not as decoration -- as a mark of ownership. This one is yours.

01
THE NOTEBOOK THAT GETS OUT OF YOUR WAY
Every unnecessary thing has been removed. No buckle, no strap, no ceremony. Full-grain leather and one elastic closure. It opens when you want it open. That is the only job it has to do, and it does it perfectly.
02
THE LEATHER IS THE POINT
Full-grain Australian leather -- the surface hasn't been corrected or sanded. It will mark with use. The soft dent where your pen rests. The slight darkening where your thumb opens it every morning. That is not wear. That is yours.
03
DESK. BAG. MEETING. KITCHEN BENCH.
The Scribe doesn't look out of place in any of them. That is not an accident. It is a notebook that knows it will be carried through a whole life -- not just a working day -- and it is built accordingly.
04
REFILLABLE FOR LIFE
Each insert holds 60 pages. One fills. You slide it out, slot a new one in. Keep the elastics balanced and you can run as many inserts as your work demands -- the system grows with you. The cover carries every year of it.

THE LAST THING THAT HAPPENS
After the cutting and the stitching, one step remains. The notebook goes under the press and comes out carrying someone's initials. It is the final act of the making, and the moment it stops being ours and becomes yours.

What people say
Real people. Real leather. Real use.
The leather smell hit me the moment I opened the box. Three months in and it's already mine in a way I didn't expect. It goes everywhere. I haven't used a different notebook since.
Sarah M, Melbourne
The Curator -- Ochre -- A5 -- November 2025
Bought this for my husband's 60th. The initials on the front were the detail that got him. He opened it very slowly, which doesn't happen often. Couldn't have been more right.
Wendy K, Adelaide
The Curator -- Blacksmith -- A5 -- October 2025
I was looking for something I wouldn't have to replace. I've had this eight months and I can already see how it's going to look in five years. That's a good feeling.
James D, Brisbane
The Curator -- Worn Saddle -- A5 -- April 2025
I came back for The Curator after The Scribe. The sleeve system makes sense once you're using it daily. Jess was wonderful to deal with -- a genuine response from a real person.
Bianca T, Sydney
The Curator -- Inkwell -- A4 -- February 2026
For the person who has no patience for anything between the thought and the page.

A note from Jess
The Scribe is for the person whose notebook works as hard as they do. No strap, no ceremony -- you pick it up with one hand and you are already working. If you write every day and don't want to think about your notebook, this is the one I'd put in your bag.
