Before anything gets built, someone walks the ground and draws the line. Everything that comes after sits inside it.

The Surveyor is the most worked piece in the Traveller's Range. A trifold cover, stitched the full way around the edge. Not a run of stitching down one side. The whole perimeter, closed.

That line is the product. It is the slowest part to make and the first thing you notice. Run your thumb around the edge and you can feel where the needle turned each corner. Nothing is left open. Nothing is left to fray.

If you have worked your way up through this range, you already know what you need from a notebook. You have stopped wondering whether you will use it. The Surveyor is for the point past that, where the only thing left to want is the work itself.

Full-grain Australian leather, cut and stitched by hand in Lobethal. It will darken where your hands hold it and hold the shape of how you carry it. Ten years in, the stitch line will still be the first thing you notice.

Initials pressed into the front panel using a traditional hot embossing machine, a method unchanged since the 1880s. No foil, no ink. Just heat, pressure, and time. On a piece finished this carefully, the embossing is the last thing that happens before it leaves the studio.
