Welcome to The Wren’s Nest
This is my weekly journal—a quiet space where I share the little moments that shape life at Rustic Wren. It’s a behind-the-scenes peek into the studio, the creative process, and the thoughts I’m still unfolding. I hope it feels like a letter from a friend.
Every now and then, something unexpected offers a mirror. A moment that reflects back a deeper truth you've always known but perhaps hadn’t quite named yet.
Last week, I spent a day at a neuroscience workshop—completely outside my usual world of leather, journals, and slow making. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but what unfolded was a deep dive into self-awareness, emotional processing, and the quiet power of intuition.
It sparked something.
I came home and began exploring more—numerology, personality insights, anything that offered new language for the way I already move through the world.
What I found wasn’t so much a transformation, but a reassurance. A remembering.
- I thrive on creativity and exploration.
- I learn by experimenting—trial, error, and the freedom to play.
- I trust my intuition—those gut feelings, the sparks of clarity.
- I don’t fit into a predetermined box, and I never will.
Comparison is a weight that creativity can’t carry. Rustic Wren is proof of that—this path that’s anything but conventional, shaped by curiosity and intuition. Journals, for me, aren’t just objects. They’re vessels. Places to land when the mind is full and the heart is ready.
This week in the studio, I followed that feeling. My hands led the way—cutting, stitching, layering. I found myself creating Wedge-Tailed Eagle Journals, inspired by movement and transformation. What emerged was wild and beautiful—each one a landscape of its own.
Prompt for readers:
What part of your creativity feels most like home?
Write about it. Lean into it. Follow where it leads.
