About this notebook
One thing more.

The Elder is The Narrator with a raw edge front pocket, cut from the full-grain hide and left natural. No finishing. No two pockets are identical. It's there for whatever you need within reach: a pen, a folded page, something you're working through and not ready to put away yet.

Everything else is the same: front and back cover, two internal sleeves, the same slim profile that sits in a bag like it's not there. The A5 is the daily carry; the A4 is for the days when thinking needs more room.

The difference between The Elder and The Narrator is tactile. The raw edge has a different weight in your hand. A different temperature. It reminds you what it feels like to put something down in ink.

A method unchanged since the 1880s.

Initials pressed into the leather using a traditional hot embossing machine. No foil, no ink. Just heat, pressure, and time. The impression settles into the leather and stays there for the life of the piece.
